Hey Andre, yes thee are many things I could share... but the process is still going on for me. I have just been through a massive learning curve just in this last week, that has totally blown my mind. Mistakes I have been making and how to do things better etc. It's a continuous learning curve.nnI could share so much, but then it depends on where you are at and what you want to achieve.nnEducation and mentoring would be very high on the list, as well as a deep marketing funnel that can sell products and close people into you. (notice I said you there)nnIf you would like to send me some more info about you and what you're into I could advise you better.nnYou can do that from my contact page on this blog.nnHave a great day...

Amongst all the colorful "opportunities" we come across on line, there is still the aching decision of choosing what works and what doesn't. Greg, you seemed to have had great success and I enjoy the knowledge you share on different subjects.nnI know in building any business you have to set your sights long term. I was always told envision the type of success you want for your business and then work backwards.. nnGreg, I know this may be far fetched but thinking back to when you first got started..."is there anything you would recommend to a new marketer still within their 1st year of the industry?"nnThanksnAndren

Thanks for the great feedback Andre, and yes there is a huge difference, and it is something that people need to be aware of BEFORE they begin their business.nnFrom my angle now, I look for and work with powerful systems rather than look for opportunities. I am thinking long term and endeavor to partner with people with the right mindset.nnIf you are not aware of this type of mind set it can be a huge difference in the way you think.nnCheers man...n

Greg great article. It really touched on some points that I'm currently experiencing as a opportunistic thinker. I never really took into consideration the difference between the two, but its a good start in understanding the specifics of the type of mindset needed to think as a entrepreneur. This is just another step in creating my success...nnThanksn-Andre

where does one fit in if you realise that this or that is a great idea and you set about implementing that idea, as it has elements of both opportunistic and entrepreneurial, you then plan out how you can make it work...

You are right there Steve, this mindset has a huge impact on the direction you ultimately end up going. Like any great journey in life, we have to make the right decisions in our planning stage BEFORE we actually begin the journey.

Thanks for the feedback man...

Greg,

This is a nice separation of the terms and mindsets. Before anyone gets into a network marketing opportunity, they should know which one of these they need to be in order to succeed. It's obvious to some, but sadly for the others, they never learn the difference.

- Steve

Yes this is so true, and the amount of money that opportunists spend trying to get something for nothing would probably fund most charities!
